She is sought-after by past clients and new referrals, and by experience alone has encountered almost every scenario that might present itself in a real estate transaction. She is virtually a walking encyclopedia of real estate with the experience of a veteran negotiator.
Organization. In her previous life, she was an Executive Assistant in both the private and public sectors. As an EA, Darlene developed exceptional organizational skills, computer skills and attention to detail. All of this makes her incredibly efficient and thorough when working through a real estate trade with clients.
Enthusiasm. Darlene loves real estate, she loves the Edmonton area and, most importantly, she loves working FOR her clients. Darlene's career in real estate started because she was dissatisfied with her previous experiences as a client herself. She learned from those lessons and now gives her clients the kind of honest service and value for money that she expected.
This last point is an important one, because it is the reason she owned and operated an independent brokerage from 2010 - 2017. Being independent meant that Darlene could operate her business however she wanted and offer services and options that others couldn't. She knows real estate is commission-based, but she absolutely lives her motto: "If you focus on commissions, you'll have no clients. If you focus on the clients, you'll never have to worry about money".
Darlene brings that entrepreneurial spirit with her now that her independent brokerage has changed names and joined the franchise system of global powerhouse Realty Executives International. With her massive client base, it may seem like real estate is all Darlene does, but nothing could be further from the truth. She is the proud mom of 2 school-aged boys and has been involved in all of their activities, including volunteering at their schools for field trips and fund raisers. And speaking of volunteering, Darlene knows how important it is to give back to the community which is why she, along with the rest of the team at Realty Executives Vision, volunteer with the Operation Friendship Seniors Society, providing assistance to Edmonton's homeless seniors. She and her brokerage have also supported minor hockey teams as well as the Stollery Children's Hospital through donations.
